Beaches
There are many excellent, sandy, often empty beaches in this part of North Norfolk. Happisburgh is the nearest and can be reached in about 30-45 minutes’ walk, or by car to the village. Further afield, Sea Palling has a series of clear, safe, sheltered bays suitable for bathing. There are 2 pubs and a small shop in Sea Palling. Please note, dogs are not allowed on this beach from May to September. Waxham is an excellent beach for dog walkers, for fishing and for bird watching. All of this stretch of coastline is sheltered by grassy dunes and it is possible to walk for miles both along the beaches and amongst the dunes. If you have dogs or small children, please be aware there may be adders amongst the grassy dunes during the summer months
